Zambia Industrial Commercial Bank (ZICB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with EIB Global to finance agri-businesses and strengthen Zambia’s agricultural value chains.
The signing took place during the EU–Zambia Lobito Corridor Business Forum in Lusaka, which took place from 12th to 14th November 2025.
ZICB and EIB Global will mobilise €30 million (ZMW 767 million) under the Agri Value Chain Facility to enhance access to finance for agri-food SMEs, strengthen smallholder farmers, and promote sustainable growth.
At least 30% of the facility will support women-led businesses, advancing inclusion and economic empowerment.
Through this partnership, ZICB continues to drive progress in Zambia’s agricultural transformation.
